UCSB x UCLA Summer Splash 2020

UCSB x UCLA Summer Splash was our first UC cross-over! It was a summer event featuring: ​

  • Tournaments for League of Legends, VALORANT, TFT, TEKKEN 7, DBFZ, osu!, Rainbow 6 Siege, Smash, Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra, ,Rocket League, Pokemon, Mario Kart 8, and Fifa

  • Casual games such as Scribblio/Drawful 2, Jackbox, League of Legends

  • Artists alley and an artist panel featuring Stacey Yamada and Tiffany Peng from Team Liquid

  • Interactive Kahoot game with questions about our sponsors and general game trivia

This event brought in over 1000 attendees and was partnered with LLS Club at UCLA to raise money for those affected by leukemia and sponsored by Microsoft Store Westfield Century City, UConnect Esports, Twitch Student, HyperX, and Redbull Gaming.

QUARLANTINE 2020

QuarLANtine was our first online flagship event in May, created with the goal of bringing people together through gaming during a time of physical separation due to quarantine for COVID19. 

This event featured: 

  • Tournaments in Smash, osu!, League of Legends, Hearthstone, Overwatch, TFT, VALORANT, Rocket League, Pokemon Showdown, and Typeracer

  • Casual games, such as Jackbox, Drawful 2, and Skribbl.io

  • An artists alley, featuring industry professionals and UCLA students 

  • Interactive Kahoot game with questions about our sponsors, graduating seniors, new board members, and general game trivia

  • ​

QuarLANtine brought in over 470 attendees and was sponsored by Red Bull Gaming, Sceptre, Cooler Master, Microsoft Store Westfield Century City, and TDC Gaming. 

La La Lan 2020

La La LAN was our flagship event in March, featuring: 

  • Showmatches between USC and UCLA Esports

  • Tournaments for League of Legends, Overwatch, TFT, Pokemon, osu!, Smash, TEKKEN 7, Mario Kart, Hearthstone, and a Mystery Indie Game

  • Interactive Kahoot game with questions about our sponsors and general game trivia

This event brought in over 225 attendees and was sponsored by iBuyPower, MSI, Microsoft Store Westfield Century City, Ateyo, Gamdias, Sceptre, and Cooler Master.

WINTER WONDERLAN 2019

Winter WonderLAN was our first flagship event, featuring: 

  • League of Legends 2v2 tournament 

  • Panel and Meet & Greet for Faye Mata, the voice actress for Lulu in League of Legends  

  • Cardboard cosplay contest

  • NVIDIA Game Show

 

This event brought in over 200 attendees and was sponsored by NVIDIA, Microsoft Century City, UCLA Campus Life, and UCLA Residential Life.
